Subir Roy Chowdhury has recently joined Stashfin, an instant-lending platform, as its chief human resources officer (CHRO).
Prior to joining this financial-services firm, Chowdhury served as the CHRO at Satin Creditcare Network, where he served as CHRO for close to eight years.
Backed by over two decades of experience in HR, his professional journey began with Magma Leasing in 2001, when he joined as a senior manager. Five years later, he moved to ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co. as AVP-human resources. This tenure lasted just over four years.
In 2010, he joined Magma Fincorp as vice president – HR. In this role, he was based out of Kolkata for over four years.
The year 2016 saw him moving to Delhi, as CHRO of Satin Creditcare Network.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, from where he studied human resource management, Chowdhury also completed an advanced management programme in business administration and management from INSEAD.
A licensed strengths coach from Gallup, his co-workers consider him the go-to person for instant solutions for all talent-acquisition and business HR issues. Chowdhury himself took to LinkedIn to reflect on his eight-year long stint with Satin where “people you work with are not mere colleagues but become family.”
HRKatha is sure that he will prove to be an asset to Stashfin, given the fact that he is known and much admired for his ability to inspire, encourage and guide his team members.
