    Varthana elevates Chandra Kumar CS to CHRO

    One of India’s largest education focused non-banking finance company (NBFC), Varthana, today announced the elevation of Chandra Kumar CS to the position of chief human resource officer (CHRO) in addition to heading customer experience. 

    With over 20+ years of experience in human resource across various industries, Chandra comes with the exceptional capability of creating organisational culture, forging highly collaborative teams and developing employees through mentorship and coaching.

    As part of his new responsibilities, Chandra will support and oversee Varthana’s organisational growth including people strategy, as well as spearhead talent and leadership development while focusing on diversity and inclusion and improve employee and customer experience and cultivate a high performing culture.

    Congratulating Chandra on his elevation to the position of CHRO, Steve Hardgrave, CEO and co-founder, Varthana, commented that this was an exciting time for the company as it lay the foundation for long-term organisational growth.  He further elaborated that Chandra has, over the past 6 years of association with Varthana, helped build a best in class and holistic employee experience through end-to-end human capital management.

    Expressing his delight with the trust shown by the management, Chandra said that he was excited to take up the challenge of integrating customer and employee journeys to build and drive an impactful CX experience for the organisation.

    In his previous role as head – business HR and HRSD at Mahindra Comviva, Chandra was responsible for driving HR strategy for global business units and bringing in excellence in HR service delivery. Prior to Mahindra Comviva, Chandra was with Tata Communications, responsible for the effective implementation of the company’s HR strategy, policies, practices and systems for their global enterprise solutions business units.

    Chandra is an alumnus of IIM, Bangalore where he studied human resources management & personnel administration. He also holds a masters’ degree in social work and a bachelors’ degree in arts, both from the university of Kerala.
