Vishal Nagda has joined Gera Developments as chief people officer. A human resource professional with over two decades of experience, Nagda is the founder and moderator of H.R. Professionals Group on LinkedIn. He moves to Gera from Global Insurance Brokers, where he was vice president –human resources for over two years.

Having studied human resource management and finance management from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, this alumnus of the University of Mumbai, began his professional journey with Wipro BPO as a technical support association, operations, in 2003. When he moved on from Wipro in 2008, he had reached the position of HR business partner, talent engagement and development team. There, among other aspects, he handled end-to-end performance management process and internal job-posting process. He also supervised the rewards and recognition implementation to ensure fairness and acceptance of the process among employees.

In February 2008, he joined the Lodha Group for what would be the longest stint of his career. After seven months of handling organisation transformation, he moved to HR operations and HRBP. By 2010, he was HR technology and HRIS lead, providing strategic support to technology initiatives within HR. From 2011 to 2014, he was responsible for designing and rolling out new HR processes and re-engineering existing processes handling HR projects and HR shared services. This role saw him participating in various HR interventions such as change management, organisation restructuring, learning management system and intranet portal. By the time he moved on from Lodha Group in 2018, after a successful decade-long tenure, Nagda had become general manager-corporate HR.

Nagda’s next stop was the Ozone Group, where he initially joined as general manager-HR, but was elevated to head-HR within seven months. He led the people mandate for all group companies and drove the agenda of business enablement using best-in-class processes, systems and HR policies.

The year 2020 saw him moving from Bengaluru to Navi Mumbai, to join QualityKiosk Technologies as AVP-human resources. A little over a year later, he moved to Infosys BPM, Pune as head-digital transformation services in HRO.

In 2021, he moved back to Mumbai, when he took up the position of VP-HR, Global Insurance Brokers.

In his latest assignment at Gera, a firm that creates premium residential and commercial projects, Nagda will be shaping the organisation’s people strategy, driving employee engagement and nurturing talent-development initiatives.

HRKatha wishes him all the luck.
