HCL Technologies plans to offer around 1,000 jobs to freshers as well as those with two to eight years of professional experience, via a two-day virtual placement drive, which will begin on February 12. The mega virtual job fair will be held at the Company’s Global IT Development Centre, at Gannavaram, near Vijayawada.

The Centre, spread over 30 acres, has a workforce strength of 1,500 presently and focuses on engineering research and development, application development as well as product and platforms business.

The Company is looking out for those with knowledge, expertise and experience in the areas of Java, chip designing, .Net, Azure, microservices, SAP, Python, protocol development, networking, DevOps and automation testing.

The skill-development centre within the campus is capable of training 1,000 people. It aims to bridge the employability gap and offers skill-based training programmes for entry-level jobs. The trainees can benefit from the training programmes for science and engineering graduates, as well as post graduates.

HCL’s Vijayawada campus had initiated a ‘come back home’ campaign, in an attempt to draw local talent from Vijayawada and encourage them to return home to attractive careers in product development, engineering Services, and application development. Yet another initiative, called ‘stay rooted’, focuses on creating international opportunities for freshers in their own city by offering them new opportunities.
