Online placements have begun across the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) in the country. At least 10 PPOs each have come from Microsoft, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Goldman Sachs, Tata Steel, MasterCard and Barclays. The first day of the drive saw participation from about 30 companies, including Sony-Japan, Cohesity US and TSMC with international offers. More than 2,100 students and over 200 companies have registered in the first phase of the drive. Offers have come from about 25 per cent core companies, 65 per cent software firms and 10 per cent consulting firms.
