    Tangedco to hire 2,900, Max Bupa to hire 12,000

    While TANGEDCO is looking to hire 2,900 field assistants (trainees) at a monthly pay scale of Rs 18,800-Rs 59,900, in Telangana, Max Bupa is looking to hire 12,000 insurance agents.

    For those interested in applying to TANGEDCO, a national trade certificate or national apprenticeship certificate in electrician/wireman trade from a recognised industrial training institutes (ITI) or from a centre of excellence scheme is mandatory. The applicants should also possess sufficient knowledge of the official language of the state namely, Tamil. The minimum age to apply is 18, while the maximum is 35. The details are available at the official website, www.tangedco.gov.in.

    Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, Max Bupa will hire 8,000 agents. In four years’ time, the health insurance player plans to take its workforce strength to 12,000, from the existing 3,000.

    With offices in Nizamabad, Warangal and Hyderabad, the Company hopes to cover 3.5 lakh people by 2025, offering customers cashless hospitalisation through its 300 network hospitals in the State. The insurance company will focus on hiring and training more women to join as insurance agents.

    Max Bupa is witnessing an increase in demand from smaller cities, and is offering entry-level covers, such as Aarogya Sanjeevni and Corona Kavach. With awareness regarding health insurance products rising, it has set itself a target of Rs 150 crore for Hyderabad in five years.
