March 6 onwards BSNL has started accepting online applications through its external exam website.
Indian public-sector telecom operator, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is looking to recruit about 2,510 graduate engineers to the post of junior telecom officer-telecom (JTO-T) from the open market.
The company will accept GATE 2017 scores for selecting candidates as BSNL will not conduct any further examination or interview for this purpose. Candidates who have appeared in GATE 2017, held in February, can apply for the job.
BSNL has started accepting online applications for the posts, through its external exam website, from March 6. The process will continue until April 6.
JTO (T) is a circle-based cadre and the candidates will be selected against the vacancies of a particular circle. The selected candidates will have to serve in a particular circle until they are promoted to the all India cadre.
Candidates will be allowed to apply only for one circle in which they desire to serve, consequent upon their selection. Once a circle is selected by a candidate, no request for change will be accepted. The circle-wise merit list will be prepared from GATE Score-2017, and accordingly circle-wise cut off will be decided based on the vacancy in the circle.
The posts carry IDA pay scale Executive (E-1) of Rs 16,400–Rs 40,500 with annual increment at three per cent of basic pay plus IDA, HRA, perks, medical benefits, and so on admissible as per the BSNL company rules.
