Infosys, the Indian multinational IT services company, has opened a new Experience Design & Innovation Studio in Shoreditch, London, recently, which can accommodate about 250 employees. Equipped with the latest technology —artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality and virtual reality (AR/VR), internet of things (IoT) and 5G—the studio space will facilitate its clients to come together to discuss
projects and innovations.
This is the latest addition to the Company’s existing network of connected design studios in New York, Berlin, Melbourne, Los Angeles, Bengaluru and Pune.
The studio will recruit talent in the areas of experience design, innovation strategy and customer-centric technology. It will also work to develop advanced technologies that will be of benefit to UK’s organisations, especially the financial services, manufacturing, retail and telecom sectors.
Spread over an area of 20,000 feet, the studio is reportedly meant to accommodate about 250 employees. The space will allow the Infosys teams to work along with the clients to innovate. Local startups will also be permitted to exhibit their offerings to clients at the studio.
The existence of a significant number of entrepreneurs, and an eco system that is ideal for startups, made the location for the new studio rather attractive. In addition, there is no dearth of talent diversity in the region.
Infosys has also revealed plans to partner with King’s College London for enhanced academic training and research in AI, innovation and digital humanities.
