    Apply for postman, mail guard, MTS; min. salary of Rs 18K

    Indian Postal Department’s Maharashtra circle is seeking applications for 1,371 vacancies in total, of which 1029 posts are for postmen, 327 posts are of multi-tasking staff (MTS) and 15 are for mail guards. The last date for submitting applications is November 10.

    Those who are at least 18 years of age, have passed the class 12 examination, possess some knowledge of computers and can speak and write the local language may apply for the posts of postmen and mail guards. Those who have passed class 10 and know basic computer operation and can understand the local language may apply for the posts of MTS in the administrative and subordinate office.

    Those older than 27 years cannot apply for the postman position and those older than 25 are not eligible for MTS position.

    The examination fee for candidates belonging to EWS, OBC and Unreserved categories is Rs 500, whereas for persons with disabilities and for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, the fee is Rs 100.

    Selection for MTS and mail guard positions will be based on computer-based tests. They will be eligible for a salary in the range of Rs 21,700 to 69,100. Those selected as multi-tasking staff will be eligible for salary in the range of Rs 18,000-56,900.

    Those keen to apply may do so via the official website of the Mahashtra Circle’s postal department: https://dopmah20.onlineapplicationform.org/MHPOST/. The hall tickets and admit cards can also be downloaded from the same site.

    The date for the computer-based test will also be announced on the site.
