Mars Petcare India, the manufacturer of pet food and confectionery, has announced the appointment of Yojana Gawade as the director, personnel and organisation (P&O). While Gawade will lead the people strategy for the multinational, her key role will also be to ensure a diverse work culture at the firm.
Gawade has over 14 years of experience in HR and has been working extensively on the food production and consumer goods sector. Prior to this role, Gawade was the capability lead for the AMEA region at Mondelez International.
After completing her masters in HR from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Gawade joined the Cadbury brand as sales HR manager. In her four-year stint at Cadbury, Gawade also saw a promotion that elevated her to the position of talent manager. In 2011, Gawade joined Kraft Foods, a food production company, as the talent and organisational development manager. She was also the HRBP for finance at Kraft Foods.
It was in 2013 that Gawade joined Mondelez International, where she has spent most of her career. She joined Mondelez as the HRBP for procurement, logistics, manufaturing and engineering verticals.
At Mondelez, Gawade’s successful tenure was punctuated with multiple promotions and elevations. In over seven years at Mondelez, this management studies graduate was elevated three times and served her last position as capability lead for the AMEA region.
