Employer gifts electric scooters to staff for Diwali

Subhash Dawar, director, Alliance Group, came up with the best idea to tackle the rising cost of petrol and diesel. He decided to gift about 35 of his employees electric scooters this Diwali and contribute to protecting the environment and preserving nature.

The very thoughtful gift grabbed headlines and has shown the way to many to save costs even while doing their bit for the environment.

Earlier, in August this year, the Company based in Surat, gifted Neeraj Chopra, the Olympic gold medallist, a premium model of the KANGEN machine for his achievements.

Dawar hoped that the machine, which provides types of alkaline drinking water, will keep Chopra healthy and fit, so that he can earn more laurels for the country.

Diamond merchants and rich businessmen in Gujarat are known for giving expensive gifts to their employees. About three years ago, Surat-based diamond merchant, Savji Dholakia gifted three of his employees Mercedes-Benz SUVs worth Rs 1 crore each. The gift was aimed at acknowledging their 25 years of service in the company.

In general, corporate India has been rather innovative with its gifts of late. With organisations returning to normalcy, after a very challenging pandemic period, most employees across India have received Diwali gifts in the form of bonuses and special leaves.

Totality Corp gifted crypto currencies to its employees for the festival.

Many state governments have announced DA hikes, with the latest being the state government of Punjab, which announced a dearness allowance hike of 11 per cent for Diwali.
