Yulu, the technology-driven mobility platform, has announced the appointment of Rupini Raman as its head of HR. With her appointment, Yulu expects to up its employer brand, enhance its talent pool, and create an inclusive, enriching and progressive work culture.

Raman, who is a Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies alumna, brings with her a rich 17+ years of HR and organisational development experience to Yulu. After graduating from Delhi University, she started her professional journey in 2001 as a management trainee for The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, a role she continued in for over a year.

She entered the people management profession in 2004, after working with American Express and Hutchison 3G in other roles. She joined RR Donnelley as an HR manager: business partner. She worked with the communications company for three years before switching to Agility in 2008. She spent a decade — the majority of her professional career — with the leading supply chain services provider. Having joined Agility as a manager for rewards and talent management, by 2014, she had worked her way up to head the function for the Company’s 6000+ employees spread across the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Her direct engagement with Agility ended in 2018 when she became an HR strategy consultant for Shipa, which is Agility’s digital startup. After a successful association with Agility, Raman joined Vivriti Capital in 2019 as VP-HR for almost three years.

Delighted to join a purpose-driven organisation such as Yulu, Raman believes that “as a shared EV mobility leader with a unique business model, many strategic partnerships, and a deep tech backbone, Yulu is very strongly positioned to redefine the mobility landscape in India”. Raman is looking forward to working with “some of the industry’s best minds towards creating a sustainable future for our planet” and eager to begin “this fun eco ride with Yulu!”

She further added that “diversity, equality and inclusion, and introducing meaningful people growth through mentoring and sponsorship programmes will be a priority for her” at Yulu.
