    Prime Focus Technologies gets Prakash Lakhiani as head-HR

    Prakash Lakhiani has been appointed as the head HR at Prime Focus Technologies, which provides automation solutions to studios, broadcasters and brands to manage their content and supply-chain processes. Sources close to the development have confirmed Lakhiani’s appointment to HRKatha.

    He comes with two decades of experience in the HR domain. At Prime Focus, Lakhiani will head the HR function of the Company as well as its people strategy.

    Prior to this appointment, Lakhiani served as the senior associate director – HR at  Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis (CBRE), the US-based commercial real-estate and investment company. There, Lakhiani led the team of HR professionals pan India for the Company and managed majority of the HR functions such as  talent acquisition, transitions, employee relations, performance management, organisational design, employee engagement and talent analytics.

    At CBRE, he worked as a strategic HR leader and formulated various talent-acquisition strategies impacting the business performance of the Company. Lakhiani spent the longest stint of his career, that is, more than a decade, at CBRE.

    Having completed an MBA in HR from University of Mumbai, Lakhianai also holds a postgraduate certificate in hummn resource Management (HRM) from XLRI Jamshedpur.

    During the initial days of his career, Lakhiani spent more than five years handling HR processes and functions in the BFSI industry. He spent close to four years with JP Morgan Chase as HR executive and then another one and a half years at Bank Of America as senior HR executive. During this period, he honed his skills in recruitment and setting up front-line hiring strategies for businesses.

    Lakhiani also worked for a retail clothing brand, Steve & Barry’s, for a year, as HR manager. The company liquidated all its stores during the time period of 2008 to 2009.

    Moving on from Steve & Barry’s, Lakhiani joined Regus, a brand that provides office, co-working and virtual office solutions. He spent more than three years with the firm and served his last position as the HR head for Singapore and South Asia.
