On 22 January, government employees are granted half-day leave to witness the live telecast of the grand consecration ceremony at Ram Temple in Ayodhya, according to official sources. Union Minister Jitendra Singh has affirmed this decision, and an official notification has been issued by the government to implement the same.
Ahead of the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sought feedback from ministers regarding the preparations. Ministers are instructed to illuminate their homes, provide meals to the needy, and celebrate the day akin to Diwali.
Furthermore, ministers are directed to organise trips to Ayodhya for the residents of their constituencies after the temple opens to the public post the 22 January ceremony. They are tasked with supervising preparations and accompanying constituents on these excursions.
Ayodhya, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ram, is bustling with preparations for the ‘Pran Pratishta’ ceremony. Prime Minister Modi is also slated to attend the grand event, and invitations have been extended to various public figures, including actors and cricketers.
