Troy Menezes has been named as the chief human resources officer at Avendus, stepping up after nearly a decade of leading people initiatives within the firm. His appointment marks a move to steer Avendus’ human capital strategy and culture agenda, backed by deep business knowledge and cross-industry HR expertise.
Menezes began his professional journey after completing a Bachelor of Commerce from MMK College between 2004 and 2007, followed by a Master’s in Management Studies in Human Resources from Mumbai University from 2008 to 2010. He entered consulting at Deloitte India in October 2010, spending four years and seven months there. During this time, he progressed from senior analyst to consultant to senior consultant in Mumbai until April 2015. He then moved to Deloitte Australia, serving as the senior consultant in Sydney for a year. During this period, he advised clients on human capital strategy, HR transformation, and organisational effectiveness.
He joined Avendus in September 2016 as the associate vice president – human resources, and in April 2018, he became the vice president – human resources. He was promoted to director – human resources in July 2020, serving three years and nine months. In April 2024, he took on the role of executive director – human resources.
Over his nine years and 10 months at Avendus, Menezes partnered with leaders to drive talent strategy, organisation design, performance and rewards, and employee engagement through growth and transformation. His consulting and financial services background now positions him to lead Avendus’ people priorities at the top level.
