Following the appointment of Amardeep Vishwakarma as its new CTO, Shine.com, the Indian online job portal and search platform, is readying to enhance its overall technology function. The Company plans to expand its technology team by 40 to 50 per cent in the coming months. The objective is to accomplish greater heights through a strong and technology-enabled workforce.

The new recruits will be brought on board across both the technology and analytics functions that are overseen directly by the CTO. Shine.com wishes to appoint people with new skills and a fresh perspective so as to transform its technology and product stack. This is in line with the platform’s stance on the demand for candidates with new-age skills across industries.

Zairus Master, CEO, Shine.com said, “This year, we are focusing all our energies on enhancing user experience through better technology deployment. Our goal is to significantly improve search results and candidate-matching functions to achieve higher conversion rates. To achieve our evolving goals, we require a bigger team of capable employees who are innovative thinkers, dedicated to bringing about positive change. We will continue to expand rapidly within the next few months, with considerable enhancement and innovation in the pipeline for the immediate future.”

Amardeep Vishwakarma, CTO, Shine.com, added, “We are focused on leveraging AI and machine learning to stay ahead in the evolving recruitment market, and to do that we need the best talent. Therefore, we are planning to hire from top engineering colleges as well as laterally for experienced roles. We aim to use AI/ML to differentiate by re-imagining the recruitment process as we know it currently through a job portal. The latest team expansion is in sync with our vision to consolidate Shine.com’s position as a leading player in the online jobs and recruitment domain, and to provide jobseekers and recruiters on our platform a more new-age experience.”
