While 1.31 lakh employees will be hired within the next six months, the rest will be hired over the next 24 months.
According to the Government’s reservation policy, approx. 19,715 seats will be reserved for the scheduled castes, 9,857 for the scheduled tribes and 35,485 for OBC candidates.
In the second phase of hiring, about 99,000 personnel will be recruited to replace the vacancies that arise due to retirements. Approx. 53,000 staff members are set to retire this year and 46,000 will retire in 2020-21. With advance planning, the vacancies created by the retirees will be filled without delay.
