Atlassian Corporation, Australian software company, is gearing up to expand its India team by about 300 R&D engineers. Globally, it is working towards hiring over 1000 employees, over the next one year.

The Company, which provides team collaboration and productivity software, and has a 700-strong workforce right now, is looking for both front-end and back-end engineers. Its R&D and customer-support centre in Bangalore— which is its fastest growing R&D site— is in the process of scaling up its operations.

Atlassian, which is known for Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Trello, recently unveiled a host of benefits, employee-first policies, as well as resources to support the personal and professional growth of its employees worldwide. It offers five days’ paid foundation leave every year, allowing its staff to volunteer at their preferred charity, giving them a chance to to give back to the community. To tackle new remote ways of working, accentuated by the pandemic, Atlassian is also providing its staff with an allowance of $US500 to enable an effective WFH environment, in addition to its existing perks and benefits.

Dinesh Ajmera, site lead and head of engineering, Bengaluru, Atlassian, reveals that the Company has “invested significantly in talent acquisition in India, but the ongoing pandemic which has fuelled a sharp rise in team collaboration and productivity software, has added the need to bring in even more talent.”

In the last quarter, the Company has added almost 500 new hires, primarily for its R&D wing. It intends to maintain its ambitious hiring goals for the rest of 2021. Atlassian offers a chance for engineers, both freshers and experienced professionals, to work in the environment of a startup that provides the safety and security of a multinational.
The Company aims to “bring a world-class cloud experience to customers of all sizes and deliver continuous innovation that streamlines its most important workflows,” reveals Ajmera.

Its total customer base increased by a record 11,617 net-new customers, to 1,94,334 in the last quarter— up by 17.9 per cent from a year ago.

The Candidate Assessment Framework of Atlassian has ensured global consistency to the assessment and selection process of candidates, interviewers and hiring managers’ experience. It enables interviewers to focus on the potential of the employees and objectively evaluate them as individuals, aligning on values, experience, skillsand capabilities.
