The National Health Mission in Jammu and Kashmir has introduced a strict timeline for addressing complaints against its staff. Under the new directive, all grievances must be resolved within 15 days of being received.
The order applies to cases involving financial irregularities as well as issues related to professional conduct. The move is aimed at improving accountability and ensuring quicker resolution of complaints within the health system.
As per the guidelines, complaints linked to financial matters will be reviewed by the director- planning and the financial advisor and chief accounts officer, in coordination with the concerned chief medical officer. This structured approach is expected to bring greater scrutiny and consistency in handling financial concerns.
Meanwhile, cases related to professional behaviour and conduct will be assessed by the designated state or divisional nodal officer along with the law officer. This ensures that disciplinary matters are examined through both administrative and legal lenses.
Furthermore, all the complaints must be processed and closed within the stipulated 15-day window, in line with existing rules and procedures. The directive is part of a broader effort to strengthen governance mechanisms and enhance transparency within the mission’s operations.
