Indian information technology multinational, Infosys, is expanding its Retirement Services Centre of Excellence in Pennsylvania, US. As part of the expansion process, it will hire 300 locals for jobs across its technology and digital services wings, as well as in client administration and operations.

The Centre is being expanded to focus on technology and innovation, to allow the retirement industry to operate at reduced costs, even while offering better experience and results for customers in terms of retirement savings. The move is part of the Company’s efforts to grow its presence in the American financial services sector.

The primary task of the Centre will be to develop technology solutions and services that will enable companies to cash in on the opportunities offered in terms of employee benefits, wealth management and digital transformation, starting with a step towards enhanced employee-sponsored retirement plan experience.

The Retirement Services Centre of Excellence was established in 2020, in collaboration with Vanguard, the Pennsylvania-based investment management company. Vanguard, caters to almost 50 per cent of the best retirement service companies in the US, by managing risk and ensuring quality experience for their clients.

Last year, Infosys had made a commitment to provide jobs to about 12,000 locals in the US. It already has over two and a half lakh employees in its global workforce. It hopes to hire 25,000 in total, in the US, in two years.
