    UAE announces one-year remote-work visa

    The new remote work visa announced by the UAE will allow professionals from any country to choose the UAE as a location to work remotely from. The new visa is valid for a year. In addition, the Government has also approved a multiple-entry tourist visa for all nationalities.

    These are part of the UAE’s initiatives approved by the cabinet during a to promote the UAE as an ideal work and tourist destination.

    The one-year visa will permit foreign nationals to enter the UAE under self-sponsorship and work as per the terms and conditions of the visa. This scheme will not only make the UAE’s tourism sector more competitive, but also lend support to the national economy. It will give a chance to entrepreneurs and talented professionals to innovate within the UAE’s work/business environment, which is being projected as very ‘safe’ and ‘congenial’, offering access to world-class utilities and telecoms.

    Additionally, the scheme will be a huge support to the public and private sectors, and will go a long way in improve work-life balance and productivity, as well as the overall business environment. It will enable staff to expand their digital skills and take full advantage of the rapidly growing gig economy.

    The multiple entry tourist visa will help make the UAE a global economic capital. It is offering the best quality of life for citizens and residents, with the objective of boosting its global economic status. The five-year multiple-entry tourist visa will now facilitate the process for tourists and visitors, by enabling tourists to enter many times on self-sponsorship and remain in the country for 90 days on each visit, which can be extended for another 90 days.
