In keeping pace with the changing demand for digital technology-led services, Capgemini has established a network of innovation studios across the world. The French technology services and digital transformation consultancy is all set to hire 25000 people for its network of Applied Innovation Exchanges in various parts of the world. Almost 50 per cent of Capgemini’s global employees live in India. Not surprisingly, as part of its growth plan for the country, the Company is now focusing on tapping technology start-ups in India.
The Company has relocated Antoine Imbert, who was practice head-insights and data, France, to Mumbai as COO. Arul Kumaran Paramanandam, who was earlier heading operations and delivery for the Company’s banking and capital markets has been appointed as the second COO.
Chief operating officer, Ashwin Yardi will now be CEO, India, with Srinivas Kandula as the new chairman. Both Yardi and Kandula will be reporting to Thierry Delaporte, group COO, who is also responsible for India.
The priorities for the Company will include making India lead in terms of technology capabilities, understanding the expectations of its partners so as to enable innovation for its clients, and creating a highly-competitive delivery centre in India.
