    WRMS to hire 200+ by end of 2022

    Weather Risk Management Services (WRMS), the Indian climate and agriculture risk-management company, is gearing to expand its workforce by at least 200 by the end of this year. The Company is hiring freshers as well as mid-level and experienced professionals in the areas of remote sensing, data science and IoT. It is also on the lookout for Flutter app developer, android developers and PHP developers amongst others.

    Specialising in developing climate, disaster and agriculture risk transfer solutions, including weather index-based parametric insurance, WRMS aims to revolutionise the farming sector by connecting farmers with the latest technology in the agri space.

    In addition to tech skills, WRMS is also looking for talent to handle backend, business development, finance, operations, as well as marketing & sales. It will hire more field executives and agri-telecallers as well, across the tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India.

    Growth opportunities are ensured to youngsters via on-field visits, training programmes, and opportunities to work and interact with industry experts and global clients. The Company believes in nurturing employees by giving them equal opportunities to learn and thrive in their professional journey.

    With more than 25,000 farmers enrolled till date, the SecuFarm App, the smart and sustainable farming solution, uses advanced crop advisory and technology to provide farmers with farm-level yield guarantee. The app aims to reach over a million farmers by 2024 in all parts of the country.

    The Company has significant presence across 22 states in India and 15 countries across the globe.

    Anuj Kumbhat, founder & CEO, WRMS said, “This hiring is very crucial for our next growth phase. We are seeking passionate minds, who can help us scale the SecuFarm platform and further strengthen our positioning as a leading agritech company.”

    Not long ago, WRMS received grant money of €2.1 mn from InsuResilience Solutions Fund to build resilience of smallholder farmers in India with yield guarantee. This fresh capital will be used to develop and implement the yield guarantee solution to improve the resilience of 100,000 smallholder farmers in India, against climate risks and incentivise smart agricultural risk-management practices.
