Weather Risk Management Services (WRMS), the Indian climate and agriculture risk-management company, is gearing to expand its workforce by at least 200 by the end of this year. The Company is hiring freshers as well as mid-level and experienced professionals in the areas of remote sensing, data science and IoT. It is also on the lookout for Flutter app developer, android developers and PHP developers amongst others.

Specialising in developing climate, disaster and agriculture risk transfer solutions, including weather index-based parametric insurance, WRMS aims to revolutionise the farming sector by connecting farmers with the latest technology in the agri space.

In addition to tech skills, WRMS is also looking for talent to handle backend, business development, finance, operations, as well as marketing & sales. It will hire more field executives and agri-telecallers as well, across the tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India.

The Company has significant presence across 22 states in India and 15 countries across the globe.

Not long ago, WRMS received grant money of €2.1 mn from InsuResilience Solutions Fund to build resilience of smallholder farmers in India with yield guarantee. This fresh capital will be used to develop and implement the yield guarantee solution to improve the resilience of 100,000 smallholder farmers in India, against climate risks and incentivise smart agricultural risk-management practices.
