Ecom Express, the new-age technology-driven end-to-end logistics solutions provider to the e-commerce industry, has received over 55,000 registrations from gig workers, on its dedicated app, ‘Ecom Sanjeev’.

Since its launch in September 2021, the app, which is available on Google Playstore, has been onboarding delivery partners, offering them part-time work opportunities with flexible timings so that they can earn extra incomes by delivering e-commerce shipments to customers. The app allows them to choose their preferred time slots and work days.

Delivery partners who work with Ecom Express on its gig model can earn Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 60,000 per month! What’s more, the app engages all individuals, irrespective of whether they are freshers or experienced, provided they have a valid Aadhaar, a smartphone and preferably, their own vehicle.

The majority of registrations, about 60 per cent, have come from gig workers of Tier 4 cities and towns. The maximum registrations have been witnessed in Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Lucknow, Gurugram and Patna.

Saurabh Deep Singla, chief people officer, Ecom Express, revealed how the programme has “created opportunities for students, homemakers and individuals looking to supplement and maximise their income by delivering e-commerce shipments during their spare time”.

“Besides empowering the gig workforce”, the programme has “also helped the Company to scale their delivery capabilities in assuring speed, reliability and effective logistics solutions to deliver online-ordered products at end-customers’ doorstep safely.”

In addition to other benefits, such as attendance bonus, Ecom Express will also provide accidental insurance cover of Rs 2 lakhs to safeguard delivery partners from any mishaps.

Referral programmes are run from time to time to expand the delivery partner base, while rewarding the existing partners.

The Ecom Sanjeev app allows interested candidates to upload their documents, while the verification (PAN card, Bank account) is done online along with physical document verification at the nearest Ecom Express centre. The app even allows delivery partners to view the list of nearby delivery centres to choose in their vicinity.

For better user experience, Ecom Express has upgraded its propriety app, SATHi, used by partners to perform delivery jobs, for faster performance and lighter GPS data runs. This also reduces battery usage, making it easier and efficient for the delivery partners to perform their deliveries.

Interested delivery partners can sign up using the Ecom Sanjeev app. More details are available on https://ecomexpress.in/delivery-partner/
