Bizongo acquihires Hexa, a cloud-based college placement platform

Bizongo, a supply chain technology company, has acquihired Hexa, a cloud platform for college placements. The announcement confirms that the co-founder & head of product of Hexa, Shubham Goyal will join Bizongo as its senior product manager, while Sushmita Chavan, head of business operations at Hexa will join as product intelligence specialist along with six other team members.

Bizongo plans to hire 100 more people in its product, engineering and sales teams and is actively looking at acquihiring to strengthen its workforce. Bizongo’s acquihire follows its fund raising of $110 mn in a Series D round led by New York-based Tiger Global Management.

Hexa onboards college students to prepare them for the industry, equipping them with the required skills to get hired and placed. It also partners with companies to provide them suitable hires possessing the right skills. Hexa is a 10-month old firm, which has, in this short time span, been able to onboard 15,000 students, partner with over 25 colleges and 10 companies.

Excited to be a part of Bizongo from the B2B platform category, Goyal reveals that Hexa has “always believed in building products that solve some critical human challenges, and with Hexa we have been fairly successful. We believe our team will add a lot of value to Bizongo”.

Speaking on the development, Ankit Tomar, co-founder and CTO, Bizongo, believes that the Hexa team and its leaders are a perfect match for Bizongo in terms of having an entrepreneurial mindset and a zeal to build technologies which can save time in long term processes.

Welcoming Goyal and Chavan, Tomar goes on to add that “Hexa’s team has demonstrated a unique ability to stay true to their core – build technology solutions that bring a complete transformation to hitherto manual and time-consuming processes”. He expressed his confidence at the ability of the team “to drive Bizongo’s vision of championing digital transformation in the B2B customised goods segment”.
