    100% summer internship placement at XLRI, average monthly stipend of Rs 1.2 lakhs offered

    Xavier School of Management (XLRI) recently completed its summer internship placement Process (SIP) for the 2019-21 batch. All the 361 students who participated have been placed. The highest stipend offered was Rs 2.5 lakhs per month, in the BFSI sector.

    This year, 86 recruiters participated in the SIP, of which 11 were first-time recruiters. There was an increase in the the average stipend offered, from Rs 1.07 lakhs per month last year to Rs 1.2 lakh per month this year.

    Companies from the fields of FMCG, consulting, pharma, IT and e-commerce, auto, mining, oil & gas and telecom participated in the recruitment process. Maximum placements happened in the areas of consulting, sales & marketing, and BFSI. While 16 per cent of the students got placed in consulting firms, sales & marketing and BFSI took on 40 per cent and 17 per cent of the students respectively. Other roles offered were in the areas of analytics, product management, business development, brand management, and strategy.

    HR roles were offered by firms such as P&G, Mondelez, Nestle, RB, Colgate Palmolive, RPG, Accenture, ITC, Udaan, PhonePe, Reliance, Ola, Bajaj, Coca Cola, CISCO Mars and others. HR roles offered also included recruitment, HR consulting and HR analytics.

    The maximum number of offers were made by Amazon. Ola, Adani, Bain & Co., Amazon, NIIF, PhonePe, Udaan, Shell, Diageo, and Rupeek were some of the first-time recruiters this year. The regular recruiters included, the Boston Consulting Group, Microsoft, P&G, Aditya Birla Group, ITC, Nestle, Hindustan Unilever, Mondelez, Mahindra & Mahindra, Citibank and others.
