Conga, the scalable revenue lifecycle management solutions company is expanding globally and in India, thanks to the acceleration provided by the need for digital transformation. Not only has it significantly increased its investment in research and development (R&D) in the country, but it plans to hire 300 people across its India offices in Ahmedabad, Pune, Bangalore and Chennai, over the next two years.
Ashish Shah, general manager – India, Conga, said, “We have focused on hiring fresh graduates from colleges and provided them training to make them ready for our needs. Over the past year, we hired 110 recent graduates, and we plan to hire a similar number over the next 12 months”.
Shah also revealed that “It’s a unique situation for a company of our size to have 100 percent of the leadership with greater than three years of tenure at Conga India, out of which 50 per cent is greater than five years.”
The Company already has a 725-strong workforce in India, which is 40 per cent of its global workforce. In fact, about 75 per cent of Conga’s total engineering team works out of India.
“With the majority of the product development team being from India”, the country remains “at the forefront of the company’s most important decisions and innovations,” said Noel Goggin, CEO and culture leader, Conga.
In 2020, Conga and Apttus, both SaaS companies, merged to form one entity, Conga. In 2021, Conga acquired Contract Wrangle, a legaltech startup in India. Not surprisingly, “the number of customers has risen to more than 11,000 worldwide” since then, which is why the Company has increased its R&D funding by 30 per cent”, said Goggin.
The ratio of women employees at Conga has increased from 24 to 32 per cent currently.
