Makemyhouse.com, the online architectural services platform, is looking to ramp up headcounts across architecture, technology, analytics, engineering and sales, amongst other roles in this financial year. It is looking to “increase employee ratio by 40 per cent, by offering 200+ job roles in various segments,” according to Husain Johar, co-founder, Makemyhouse.com.

Serving over 14,000 customers in 1,200 cities, Makemyhouse has generated Rs.10 Cr. in terms of gross business with more than 14000 projects being completed since inception.

With its large collection of house plans and elevations to choose from — which are free to browse — for the next home-building idea, the platform offers customised plans to users.

Makemybouse helps consumers convert their ideas into complete drawings, enabling them to build or redo their houses without having to hire expensive architects. The app allows users to create a customised house plan in a very economical way.

Founded by Husain Johar and Mustafa Johar in 2016, the platform was initiated with the objective of offering architectural designs via a digital platform and bringing together architects, related professionals and project owners seeking to build or renovate their houses, on a common platform.

The Johars created the platform keeping in mind people in tier II and tier-III cities, who wish to build houses and even have the finances for the same but lack knowledge of trained architects or engineers. Such people are forced to work with traditional contractors, who usually just alter existing designs and offer solutions that may not always be sustainable.
