CSS Corp, the IT services and tech support solutions company, has appointed Anish Phillip as its chief people officer (CPO).
Philip, who has moved from Marlabs Inc., where he was chief human resource officer (CHRO) since March 2020, is an alumnus of the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies from where he completed a PGDM in human resources (HR) in 1999.
Soon after, Philip joined Ernst & Young as a consultant for a year, serving clients in the area of HR advisory services, specialising in compensation & benefits, HR due diligence, employee surveys and organisation design.
In 2000, he joined Mindtree as general manager – people function. As a member of the senior leadership team at Mindtree, he worked to set up the business, sales, talent and customer acquisition processes. He served what was probably the longest stint of his career —over 13 years — at Mindtree.
His next stop was Sasken, where he joined as head – human resources. He also served as honorary secretary for NHRDN’s, Bangalore Chapter.
The year 2019 saw him back at Mindtree, this time in the role of VP – people function, which he successfully essayed for five years.

At CSS Corp, Philip will lead multifaceted HR departments across geographies, and the company’s senior management talent initiatives. He will also serve as an integral part of CSS Corp’s executive leadership team, influencing the organisation’s path to sustainable growth and expansion, and strong employee focus, says the official post.
