    boAt appoints Charmie Awasthi as CHRO

    Imagine Marketing, parent company of boAt, the Indian wireless hearables brand, announced several new appointments to its leadership team, including Charmie Awasthi as CHRO. The Company has increased its workforce by over 110 employees and is now over 300 boAtheads strong.

    Awasthi, who is an alumna of the KJ Somaiya Institute of Management, from where she did her MBA in human resource management, has over 17 years of professional experience.

    After spending five years as manager – human resources at Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Awasthi became the senior manager – HR in 2010. Less than two years later, she was elevated to the position of AVP- HR, lead – talent development and performance management, a role she essayed for about a year and a half. By 2013, she was VP- human resources, practice head – talent development and performance management, at Zee, where she served a successful tenure of seven years, based out of Mumbai.

    In 2017, Awasthi joined Viacom 18 Media, as AVP – human resources, business HR head – national entertainment & digital ventures (VOOT).

    Having worked with flagship broadcast and digital brands from the media space, Awasthi’s rich experience will be an asset to boAt, which has recently appointed Prejith Narayan, as chief business officer, Shyam Vedantam as a chief product delivery officer, Rakshit Gupta as head of customer experience, Aman Brara as head of wearables and Vibhor Jain, as head of e-commerce.
