Cipla seems to be building a strong talent pipeline in human resources and has added another experienced leader in its cadre. Girish Naik, who was the vice president-HR & head-organisational effectiveness at Reliance, recently joined Cipla BioTec as the head of HR.
Naik will be leading the entire gamut of HR functions at the Goa headquartered Cipla BioTec. An engineering graduate from the University of Pune, Naik completed his business education from the Asian Institute of Management and has an experience of over 18 years.
Before joining Reliance in 2014, Naik was the chief human resources officer at Network18 and has also worked with Tata Motors prior to that.
Naik brings with him hands-on experience in design and implementation – in HR systems & processes, performance management, talent management, compensation & rewards, organisation design, job evaluation, work level design, competency framework design, career path design, business performance improvement, balanced scorecard and change management.
He has cross-functional and managerial work experience across multiple sectors like FMCG, engineering, automobile, petroleum & petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, metals, telecom, IT and ITES.
