Interocean Group, a ship- catering company based in New Delhi, has appointed Rueben Das as its new head-human resources. Das moves from RoadCast Technologies, a telematics and delivery automation SaaS platform, where he served as the HR head since August 2022.
With over two decades of experience in HR, his diverse expertise spans various sectors, including manufacturing, food and beverage, ground transportation, car rental, travel, and management consulting. Additionally, his expertise lies in talent acquisition and management, strategic business partnership, performance management and rewards, employee development and retention, and compensation & benefits.
Furthermore, with a rich professional background, Das has worked with several other organisations such as Jubilant Consumers, Travel Foods, CarzOnRent India, Kuoni Travel and Salasar Techno Engineering.
His longest stint was with Kuoni Tavel Group, where he served for over five years, from 2005 to 2010. He joined the company as its manager-HR and implemented personnel policies and procedures at the unit level.
In the course of his career with Kuoni, Das developed a new salary structure and meticulously aligned it with existing employees across various divisions, including SITA Inbound, BTI Retailing, and SOTC Outbound. Furthermore, his expertise extended to formulating comprehensive job descriptions and specifications for diverse roles within the organisation.
Additionally, as a significant aspect of his role, Das planned and facilitated training programmes for employees within the respective divisions, while also overseeing the Kuoni Academy of Travel (KAT), a presence in seven locations, including its pioneering overseas location in China.
In 2010, he moved to CarzOnRent as its head-HR and training and served the role for close to three years. He then moved to Travel Food as its manager-human resources in the year 2012.
Das holds a post-graduate degree in human resources and marketing from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management. He also holds an MBA in human resources management (HRM) from International Management Institute.
