Lionsgate India promotes Shreya Channa to VP-people office, South Asia & South East Asia

Lionsgate India, the global content company, has elevated Shreya Channa who is only a year old in the Company, to the position of vice president, people office, Lionsgate South Asia & South-East Asia. She will now play an important role in the Company’s expansion in South Asia and emerging markets of Asia, and will report to Rohit Jain, managing director, Lionsgate.

In her new role, Channa will also work with Ross Pollack, CHRO, Lionsgate Global, who sits in the US. She will be responsible for the media company’s strategy and people operations in the emerging markets of Asia.

Backed by over 17 years of experience in HR, Channa started her career as project manager with Hewitt Associates, where she worked for over five years. There, she planned and managed large global and multi-resource compensation and benefits projects for several French, British, Belgian and Sri Lankan companies across various sectors, including finance and manufacturing.

From 2007 to 2010, she worked with JM Financial, as assistant vice president – HR. Her role required her to partner with C-level executives and senior leadership to analyse needs and support the organisation’s short- and long-term business goals. She also led various HR initiatives through significant organisational transformation.

Her next stop was HMX, New York, where she did a short one-year stint as director, human resources & development. She then joined Aon Hewitt, in 2011, where she served as senior consultant – strategic advisory& M&A solutions, for five years. After successfully consulting on human capital solutions in large-scale global corporate transactions and transformation engagements, specialising in M&A Integrations and business transitions, Channa moved on to the Piramal Group in 2017. There, she headed the overall human resources strategy to drive growth, organisational change and incubate latest innovations in HR practices for all group businesses.

In May 2019, she joined Korn Ferry as senior principal, advisory. After over a year of working with marquee clients in APAC and the US, to address their challenges in digitisation, transformation and mergers and acquisitions, Channa moved to Lionsgate in April 2021.
