AkzoNobel India has appointed Neelima Kataria as country HR manager for India Subcontinent.
An alumna of the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, where she completed her PGDBM in human resources, Neelima Kataria started her HR journey with TNT Worldwide Express as trainee – HR in 1997.
Between 1998 and 2008, she did short stints with IBM Daksh, Global Vantedge, Bharti Televentures and Bharti Wal-mart.
In September 2008, she joined Fullerton Securities & Wealth Advisors as head-performance and rewards. Two years later, she was elevated to the position of head – human resources.
In 2012, she joined HT Media as head – human resources, for the digital business, where she successfully completed a tenure of over four and a half years, working from Gurgaon.
Her next stop was Apollo Tyres, where she joined as head – HR, business partner – APMEA, for over five years.
In her latest assignment as country manager – HR, Kataria will work closely with the India leadership team and board of the pioneering paints company to craft a meaningful employee experience that augments its business growth ambitions for the country.
Among her key priorities will be to drive AkzoNobel’s HR strategic plan to attract the right talent, develop high performance teams in a fast-evolving business landscape, helm people-centric policies, oversee rewards and recognitions, as well as embrace employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion to strengthen the as an employer of choice.
Backed by over two decades of HR expertise and best practices across geographies and industries, Kataria is all set to be an asset to AkzoNobel.
