Rashmi Govil, who has been associated with Indian Oil Corporation(IOC) since 1994, is gearing to essay the role of director-HR. She has been associated with IOC since 1994, when she joined as DM(ER)/senior ERO/employee relations officer-refinery, in October. She successfully shouldered these responsibilities for over 12 years, working out of Mathura.

From 2007 to 2017, she served as GM(HR)/DGM (HRD)/CM (HRD)/SM (HRD)- divisional HQ, based out of New Delhi.

By 2017, she was elevated to chief general manager (HR) / GM(HR) – corporate office. She held this position for a little less than five years, before being promoted to the role of executive director (HRD & ER)- corporate office, in February 2022.

Having completed an MBA from Bundelkhan University in 1993, Govil started her professional journey as a trainee with SHCIL Services. After a ten-month stint there, during which she was based out of Mumbai, Govil joined IOC in October 1994.

During her almost three-decade association with IOC, Govil has worked across various HR domains and been instrumental in taking various strategic initiatives and revising policies, especially when the pandemic struck.

Govil was recommended for the post of director – HR, by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), as per a notification. She was selected from amongst 11 candidates, five of whom were from IOC itself.

A firm believer in the power of the human mind to accomplish the extraordinary, Govil is an avid learner with a passion to drive excellence through people-centric leadership.
