    Saema Javed, former deputy vice president – HRBP & total rewards, Aviva India, has joined AIT Worldwide Logistics as head of HR- India & the Middle East.

    Armed with a master’s degree in human resource management from Jamia Millia Islamia, Javed began her professional journey as an HR executive with HCL Technologies (infrastructure services division). Based out of Noida, she looked into the employee-relation activities for about 400 employees. She also dealt with the performance management system, attrition management as well as employee retention.

    A little over two years later, in 2012, she moved to Aviva India as management associate – talent acquisition. For a year and a half, she was responsible for the recruitment of sales executives in direct channel for Delhi-NCR region. In 2013, she was elevated to the position of assistant manager – HR. She was promoted yet again in 2014, making her senior manager – people business partner. A little over two years into this role, she donned the mantle of associate vice president – human resources, based out of Gurugaon. By 2021, she had become deputy vice president – HRBP & total rewards.

    Known to be a result-oriented HR professional, her thoroughness, efficiency and energy are appreciated by those she has worked with.

    In her 13-year long career, she has managed to gain experience in the areas of HR strategy, employee partnering, inclusion & diversity, policy formulation, rewards & performance management, talent management and recruitment.
