Senior-level HR rejig at Matrimony.com

Prasad Nelliparthi has been appointed as CHRO and Uma Srinivasan as head- talent acquisition.

Prasad Nelliparthi has joined the Chennai-based Matrimony.com as the chief human resource officer. He has moved from the Murugappa Group where he was executive vice president-HR for tube investments (TI).

The position of CHRO has been lying vacant since Sunitha Lal quit a year back, to join Ather Energy, the electric automobile company.

Nelliparthi has close to three decades of experience. He started his career with the US-based company, International Flavors & Fragrances, as assistant manager, HR in 1989. In between, he also worked with Bharti Airtel and Fenner India. Nelliparthi has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Madras.

Matrimony.com has also hired Uma Srinivasan as head-talent acquisition. Srinivasan has over 23 years of experience across multiple industry sectors. She has spent 15 years in the recruitment industry handling search and selection, and managing teams across multiple locations. In the past, Srinivasan was president-search and selection, Randstad India.

Armed with a degree in metallurgical engineering, Srinivasan started her career as a commercial mettalurgical engineer with EuroTrade Consulting. It was in 2001 that she moved to the recruitment sector with Ma Foi as client partner-executive search.

Matrimony.com is expanding its services from only matrimony search to marriage services, such as matrimonymandaps.com, matrimonyphotography.com and matrimonybazaar.com
