Yogesh Patgaonkar has joined Persistent Systems as chief people officer

Patgaonkar takes over from Sameer Bendre, who will now serve as chief of operations

Yogesh Patgaonkar is the new chief people officer at Persistent Systems, the Indian multinational tech services company. He steps into the shoes of Sameer Bendre, who has now been assigned the role of chief of operations after serving as chief people officer for over a decade.

Backed by over 25 years of industry experience as CHRO, business head, executive coach and facilitator, Patgaonkar will be responsible for global HR, people engagement, talent acquisition as well as learning and development initiatives at Persistent.

A Master Certified Coach from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Patgaonkar has worked as head – HR at Mafatlal Consultancy Services for four years in the initial stages of his career, in 1993-1997. He then moved to MphasiS as regional head – HR for about two and a half years.

In 2009, he joined RPG Enterprises as vice president – group HR. His next stop was Zensar Technologies, where he served a long and successful stint of over eleven years, from 2003 to 2014. The last position he held at Zensar was that of executive vice president & global head – HR.

Known for his business acumen and sense of humour, Patgaonkar served as head of HR at L&T Technologies for a year before becoming a master certified coach at Harmony Consultants in 2015.

An alumnus of the University of Mumbai, Patgaonkar has been coaching for over seven years now, and is also a partner at Gobal HR Lead Partners.
