ZingHR, the HRMS platform, has roped in Vijay Raghavan Pisharody as chief – culture and performance. Pisharody, who comes with about 27 years of experience, will head the people, culture and performance function at ZingHR. He will be responsible for maintaining a highly-skilled talent pool that will assist in the Company’s business growth.

Pisharody, who started his career as a summer intern with ITC Hotels in 1993, joined The Oberoi as trainee (operations) for over three years, before moving on to Grand Hotel Europe as assistant front office manager for more than a year.

“Vijay joins us during an exciting time, and will further, strengthen our leadership team and fuel our next wave of growth,” says Prasad Rajappan, MD & CEO, ZingHR.

For two years, he served as assistant manager at BPL Net.com, handling channel sales at Chennai. He returned to the hospitality sector in 2001 as front office manager, Taj Hotels for over three years. He then moved into the retail sector, taking up a position as assistant manager – training, at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail. There he was responsible for pan India retail HR and training for about two years.

His next stop was the Manipal Education and Medical Group, where he served the longest stint of his career. He joined as senior manager – HR and OD, Manipal Universal Learning SBU, in 2007. Over the 11 years that he spent there, he climbed up the ranks and finally became the country manager/ general manager, Manipal Education Sri Lanka. He was responsible for P&L with additional responsibility of HR , working closely with the CHRO and senior business leadership of Manipal Group in strategic HR initiatives and programmes.

In 2019, Pisharody joined KNOLSKAPE as VP and CHRO, responsible for global HR, talent management and employer branding, among other things.

“I look forward to leveraging my experience in fulfilling ZingHR’s vision of being a Global Leader in business “Outcomation”. “It is an exciting time to join ZingHR as they embark on a global journey. The opportunity to craft a performance culture tuned for global expansion is a great opportunity in a corporate career,” shares Pisharody.
