    Morgan Stanley appoints Mahendra Itkarkar as Executive Director HR

    Morgan Stanley, the American investment bank and financial services firm, has appointed Mahendra Itkarkar as executive director – HR and will be heading employee relations at the firm. Prior to this, Itkarkar was the head of employee relations at JPMorgan Chase, where he led investigations into employee matters of misconduct, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, policy violation including code of conduct for India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Mauritius.

    Coming from an armed forces background, Itkarkar has served in the Indian Army for six years and was managing administration and human resources. He was responsible for practices such as training and development, coaching and mentoring as well as performance management. His other responsibilities included budgeting, bulk procurement and quality control.

    In 2008, Itkarkar joined Infosys as manager – employee relations and led global compliance programmes and other HR initiatives for the company.

    After working for Infosys for close to five years, Itkarkar joined Ocwen Financial Solutions as the senior manager – HR. He played a vital role in implementing global reward programmes and pan India employee-engagement surveys and participation. Not only did he formulate employee-development programmes for the firm, he also handled talent management, employee engagement and business partnering for India-based employees.

    Itkarkar holds a diploma in general management programme (HRD), from IIM Lucknow.
