Outsourcing and technology services company, VFS Global, has appointed Nirbhik Goel as deputy chief human resources officer. He will be based out of Dubai, UAE and head human resources for the company that serves governments and diplomatic missions worldwide.
Goel moves from The Oberoi Group, where he was EVP-HR, since 2019. Prior to that, Goel was based in the Greater New York City area, serving as the global human resource business partner at AIG.
Interestingly, Goel had started his career with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, in 1991 and worked with the Group for seven years. His last position there was that of head of training and hotel manager.
An alumnus of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Goel comes with a total experience of over 28 years in the HR function.
After honing his skills in training and development at the Oberoi, Goel joined GE Capital as the AVP- training and development for about two years. Goel then moved to TATA AIG General Insurance as the VP-HR and regional director for training and development.
Post this, Goel also worked with Hyatt as the VP-HR, South West Asia for five years, shifting his base to Dubai in 2007.
Goel also served as the managing director, group head of human resources at Barclays India, for close to four years before moving to New York in 2016.
