    Harshvendra Soin elevated to president – APJ, Tech Mahindra

    Harshvendra Soin’s latest promotion at Tech Mahindra will see him donning the mantle of president – APJ, telecom and enterprise business. Since 2019, he has been the global chief people officer and head marketing, corporate services, and people supply chain (RMG). His association with Tech Mahindra has been a long one though, starting way back in 2012, when he joined as global head – leadership acquisition and development, and head – business HR (APAC & IMEA).

    Almost four years later, he was promoted to senior vice president and country head – Canada, enterprise business.  For the next seven years, he was based out of Toronto and successfully managed to turn the company’s degrowth business into one of its most successful ones.

    By 2018, he became the global chief people officer, based out of Noida for over five years.

    An alumnus of Panjab University, Soin began his career with Punwire as deputy manager – human resources. A little less than three years later, he moved to East India Hotels Oberoi Hotels as head of HR. After a successful stint of well over five years, he joined Bharti Tele Ventures as head of HR (Punjab,Haryana, Himachal, Rajasthan and J&K).

    In 2005, he became senior vice president – people excellence, Bharti Enterprise.  Two years later, in 2007, he moved to Bharti Retail (Walmart) as head of human resources. This was a short stint, following which he came to be associated with Aditya Birla Group as chief people officer from 2007 to 2009.

    His next stop was Fortis Healthcare as chief people officer  from 2009 to 2012.
