    KPMG to double its workforce by 2025 at Kolkata office

    With the inauguration of its new global delivery centre in Kolkata, KPMG has announced that it will double its hiring by the year 2025. Currently, the company has a workforce of more than 250 professionals in Kolkata.

    The multinational firm specialising in audit, tax and advisory services, has established its new office, featuring cutting-edge amenities and collaborative spaces. The space is designed to accommodate an expanding team of professionals, as mentioned in a media statement.

    The firm stated that this expansion signifies its acknowledgment of the dynamic talent pool in Kolkata and underscores the strategic significance of the city in KPMG’s growth strategy.
    Partho Bandopadhyay, managing director, KPMG Global Delivery Centre, emphasised the importance of Kolkata in KPMG’s growth strategy, citing the city’s rich talent pool. He expressed the company’s intent to enhance service offerings and generate appealing job opportunities.

    In July 2023, KPMG and Microsoft announced an extensive expansion of their global partnership, aiming to reshape professional services in critical areas such as workforce modernisation, secure development, and the utilisation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions across various sectors.

    The collaboration involves a multibillion-dollar commitment from KPMG in Microsoft cloud and AI services over the next five years. The alliance aims to elevate client engagements and revolutionise the employee experience responsibly, ensuring trustworthiness and safety.
