As the landscape of work continues to evolve due to technological advancements, upskilling has become increasingly important for professionals in India. Recognising this demand, Emeritus, a player in online education, has announced fee benefits on select upskilling programs for Indian individuals.

The initiative comes as a New Year resolution for many Indians seeking to invest in their professional development. According to Emeritus’s Global Workplace Skills Study 2023, 82% of Indian respondents expressed an interest in pursuing online education, highlighting the growing emphasis on learning.

These fee benefits are designed to make upskilling more accessible and affordable, targeting programs in areas such as digital marketing, product management, and leadership development. The specific programs included in the initiative are offered by reputable institutions, providing participants with high-quality learning experiences.

“With this initiative, we aim to empower Indian professionals to unlock their full potential and thrive in the changing job market,” said Mohan Kannegal, CEO – India and APAC at Emeritus. “Our research shows that education remains a top priority for Indians, and we believe these fee benefits will help them access valuable learning opportunities.”

The need for upskilling is further emphasised by a report from the World Economic Forum, which states that 60% of global workers will require reskilling or upskilling by 2027 to stay relevant in the workplace. Additionally, Emeritus’s own study reveals that 84% of Indian professionals rely on further education to gain an edge in their careers.

Overall, Emeritus’s initiative addresses the growing demand for upskilling in India by providing accessible and affordable learning options. By targeting programs in high-demand areas and partnering with leading institutions, Emeritus aims to equip Indian professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the future of work.
