Local talent accounts for about 95 per cent of the workforce in Norway presently. In the coming years, Wipro plans to further improve this figure and provide major jobs to local talent in the region.

As per the hiring plans, the Company is looking to hire in areas and roles such as IT consulting, engineering and industry domain.

“To help our clients realise their transformation goals, we will be looking to hire for a range of roles, all in the local market,” said Vinay Firake, senior vice president & managing director, Nordics, Wipro.

Maintaining diversity in the workforce is yet another area of focus for the Company. Therefore, the new hiring will be done keeping in mind the need to have a diverse set of talent in the Company and build a culture which make employees realise their full potential.

“Our employees are the drivers for growth, and their happiness is key for our success. As our society gets increasingly diverse, we also need to make sure that our workforce represents this diversity,” said Firake.

To support this, Wipro has decided to maintain a hybrid work culture and employees are welcome to work from office full time, if they so wish.
