In the war to attract talent, Amazon is offering a $3000 bonus to workers at its new facility in Wilmington, Delaware. As per a job posting, the maximum hourly pay for any team member is $19.75 and the offered bonus is equivalent to a month’s pay for a 40-hour work week.

Those who join before October 10 are eligible for this bonus, provided they remain employed with the Company during the time of payout. The bonus will be paid in instalments, and the Company has specified that this bonus is only available for certain selected positions and posts at the warehouse.

In addition, the Company has also promised that vaccinated new hires who produce a proof of their vaccination against COVID – 19 will get an extra $100 as bonus.

As per reports, this new facility is being built over an older General Motors plant, that had existed earlier. As of now, Amazon has already taken on around 500 workers, who have been onboarded at this new facility. It is now looking to hire 500 more by the end of this year. Interestingly, the workers will work alongside robots to pack and ship small items.

Earlier this year, Amazon had announced that it will create 75,000 jobs in the US and Canada, and is willing to offer bonuses up to $1000 to its workers to attract talent fast.
