A former employee of Fox News is smiling all the way to the bank after having settled two lawsuits against the channel.

Abby Grossberg, who used to be a producer on the talk show called Tucker Carlson Tonight, had accused Fox News of forcing her to lie. She had also filed another lawsuit against the channel and Tucker Carlson, political commentator, alleging that the network nurtured a toxic workplace which was prejudiced against women.

Earlier this year, Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson had parted ways, after Fox News and Fox Corp. had settled a defamation lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million. Dominion had accused Carlson and his team of making defamatory statements on the show and that they had falsely claimed that Dominion’s ballot-counting machines were put into service to influence the election results in favour of the Democrat presidential candidate.

Grossberg had claimed that the channel’s lawyers had pressurised her to make ambiguous and false statements in the Dominion Voting Systems case.

Fox News admits that it is glad to have been able to arrive at a resolution avoiding any further legal action. Grossberg, who had worked for Fox News since 2019, had been fired for falsely accusing the channel. She has now told media that she has withdrawn the case and is glad that the channel took her seriously.
