Borzo (erstwhile WeFast), a global courier delivery service, has witnessed a sharp rise of gig workers for the festive season. The Company has onboarded 4,000 delivery riders in its fleet in the last two months to boost the Company’s delivery capabilities.
With the addition of 4000 gig-delivery partners during the festive season, there has been a sharp increase of 11 per cent in its delivery workforce. Currently, Borzo has more than 35,000 delivery partners across its B2B and B2C verticals.
Customers are increasingly relying on platforms that promise faster delivery. Therefore, Borzo’s focus is on offering efficient last-mile delivery solutions for SMEs, e-commerce brands and D2C brands through quick and same-day delivery.
‘We expect the orders to continue to grow at X2 speed compared to the previous festive seasons. Naturally, there is intense competition across sectors to onboard maximum delivery partners and keep the fleet order-ready and response time low,” said Eugene Panfilov, General Manager, Borzo, India.
The Company is “ramping up our fleet for B2B verticals to assist D2C and e-commerce brands successfully and efficiently cater to strong demands”. Borzo has already “achieved a strong growth of 11 per cent in our backbone, the gig workforce’.
Borzo is looking forward to strong order growth, especially in the hyper-local segment and cosmetic brands, in the upcoming festive season. It boasts of a very strong courier partner network.
