Cyient is gearing up to expand its workforce of 200 to 800, at its development centre in Warangal (Telangana). The engineering and technology solutions organisation had downsized in 2019 in the face of a slump in the business, laying off about 70 people. By September 2019, it had cut down its workforce by about 185. ??The Warangal centre, which is being inaugurated by Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao today, will probably end up being the Company’s biggest and also the city’s largest. It is also expected to attract more investors from the information technology (IT) space.

Cyient is a company that engages with customers across their value chain, and lends them the assistance required to design, build, operate, and maintain their products and services, which helps them become leaders and respected brands in their respective industries and markets. Cyient supports telecom customers too and is now showing good growth in this sector.

Its research and development centre is strategically located in Warangal, one of the main tier-II cities in Telangana, which is growing into a hub for educational institutions and offers a lot in terms of an evolving pool of talent. The city is also known for its good social and medical infrastructure and connectivity with other important cities. In fact, it is the ideal location for the IT companies that are trying to reach out to smaller cities. Cyient will be roping local talent for its expanding workforce.
