Better.com staff receive monthly WFH allowance, other benefits, support

Better.com, the online mortgage lender, has witnessed a growth in demand and has already hired more than 1,100 people for its office in Gurgaon, India since April 2020. It has kept its employees’ wellness on top of its list of priorities.

Among the key people initiatives and benefits, Better.com provides a work-from- home allowance for all employees, given the current ongoing health emergency. Employees have been receiving an allowance of Rs 10,000 every month, since the outbreak, to help with the WFH setup, and manage Wi-Fi and other expenses.

Better.com covers medical benefits for all immediate family members (spouse + children + parents) of its employees. It offers 24×7 support, for emotional wellness and mental health, to all its employees. It has tied up with an external partner with over 1000+ experts in the panel. The Company offers specialised counselling for all the employees who have tested COVID-19 positive.

During the lockdown, Better.com provided an exclusive parental concierge service for all parents of employees, to assist with their daily needs.

Amidst the disruptions caused by the pandemic, Better.com has put employee wellness and safety first, as per its “people-first ethos”, says Bhavesh Sharma, country head – India, Better.com.
